Skiing History Day

March 2, 2019

Dig out those stretch pants, runaway straps and bamboo poles of yesteryear and celebrate Skiing History Day at Bromley Mountain with International Skiing History Association (ISHA) and Skiing History magazine on Saturday, March 2. All are welcome to join the parade of vintage skiwear in the base area at 11:30am to wax nostalgic for the retro-ski attire of the ’40s, ’50s and ’60s and celebrate Bromley’s legendary 81-year history. The event is free and open to all.

Those who register in advance will enjoy a noon buffet luncheon for $20, and can purchase a $57 lift ticket for that day (regularly priced at $87). A colorful presentation on Bromley’s history will follow at 12:30 with Manchester Historical Society director Shawn Harrington, board member Bill Badger and long-time Bromley PR maven Kit Chamberlain. The day also includes a free vintage ski equipment exhibit in the Base Lodge from 10 am to 2 pm.

For online pre-registration, visit bromley.com/winter/events.
