Tilting at Windmills has been an iconic gallery in Manchester, Vermont for 54 years, and is one of New England’s largest fine art galleries. It features a broad selection of original artwork by regional, national, and internationally acclaimed artists, along with a selection of period art pieces.

Tilting’s owner, Terry Lindsey, shared with us one of her favorite new paintings that is featured at the gallery: Michael Fratrich’s

NEW LIFE IN LONDONDERRY”:

“This just off the easel oil is 48” x 48”. Its size alone invites you to enter the magical world of spring. This original landscape exudes delight in every square inch of canvas. Michael’s many strong talents consist of his unique vibrant colors, and his energy, which carry him from one expression to the next. I am always amazed at his diversity when he delivers new work to us. Michael can paint realistically, in the abstract, with minimalist, and folklike style, each of which demonstrates his versatility of expression and imagination. He has dedicated his life to art through many hours at the easel and in travel, finding subject material, visiting museums or shows to continually scrutinize the old masters.”
