BOO! Happy Halloween, Friends! Today, I am delighted, in the most dastardly way, to introduce you all to my colleague, Leonard Kenyon (Lenny K.), Art Director and Vice President of Vermont Magazine, Stratton Magazine, Berkshire Magazine, and Manchester Life Magazine (his fantastic illustrations can be seen on the covers of Manchester Life!) His short fiction, nonfiction, and illustration work has appeared in various publications, anthologies, and blogs all over the world (or so he says). A lover of the macabre and the satirical, both shine throughout his work, as you’ll see in these Halloween-inspired illustrations.

Len is a true Renaissance Man (a “Len-aissance Man!”) As vocalist, drummer, and composer with The Dumbanimals, he released his first album, Thrift Pop, in September 2023. Fans of ‘90’s grunge/indie/alternative rock will LOVE it (I do!) The songs are tight, filled with irreverent humor, and bring me right back to a time when I was rocking plaid shirts and feeling all the angst of late teen/young adulthood. Rumor has it, there might be a second album on the horizon, so stay tuned!
I also love Len’s dark sense of humor and our shared appreciation for horror films. I know only a handful of folks who love Halloween as much as I do, and he’s one of them! He’s the perfect person to highlight in this week’s Halloween Grab Bag.
