This year’s mystery is set in 1917 and inspired by the real life unsolved murder of Equinox Hotel owner, George Orvis. George’s brother Charles was the founder of the beloved international fishing and lifestyle company, Orvis, that began in Manchester Vermont. Go back in time and enjoy the music, the costumes and the fanfare of life in Manchester Vermont 100 years ago. Bring your inner Miss Marple and Sherlock Holmes! Enjoy a romantic date, or a fun night with a group of friends for our most celebrated dinner party of the year! Festive attire suggested.
Gather in the living room salon and meet the colorful cast of suspects. Our 1902 mansion is like a real game of Clue as guests follow the interactive drama from the Billiard Room to the Library and Dining Room. There is music, dancing, comedy, drama, and a culinary feast. Everyone gathers in the living room after dinner to decide WHO DONE IT! Prizes are awarded for best sleuthing and most creative costume.
Family Innkeeper and New York City playwright, Tajlei Levis, uses the Wilburton’s rich history as inspiration for each year’s original mystery.
It’s a fabulous weekend in the country that you will remember for a lifetime — only at the Wilburton Inn.
