The official Battle Day is August 16, and commencing on Thursday the Bennington Fire Department will host events commemorating the Battle of Bennington, a turning point in the Revolutionary War. Activities include a 5K morning fun-run at the Battle Monument, a downtown parade, Battle of the Pies, and more.
